TRUE CONCEPT
DESCRIPTION
Only bright and shiny reflect light. Dull or dark or rough surfaces do not reflect light
We would not be able to see reflected light by dull, dark or rough surface.

For example:

   -     when we in front of mirror, we can see ourselves due to reflection while when we in front of rough surface like wall we can’t see ourselves.

-   Polish up a teaspoon and you can see your face quite clearly. But if the spoon is dirty, all the bits of dirt and dust are scattering light in all directions and your face disappears.
All objects (even dull,   dark or rough ones) reflect light into our eyes so that we can see them
  •             Dull objects do reflect light, otherwise we would not be able to see them. Smooth surfaces produce regular reflection while rough surfaces produce scattered, diffused or irregular reflection.

  •      Light reflect because as the electromagnetism wavefronts hits the material the electrons within the material start to vibrate  and an accelerating charged particle gives off electromagnetism radiation by nature in all directions and these new electromagnetism waves are the ones you see.

  •       The light from a "smooth surface" is reflected at the same angle which it enters the surface on the other side. The reflection on a rough surface will reflect the light on each surface individually and the light will be diffused at all angles as it is reflected from a variety of surfaces.
